Welcome to the website of multi-instrumentalist and educator Jay Cook. Based in Brattleboro, Vermont, Jay has performed in a number of different genres, from West African to jazz to funk to R&B. Jay regularly plays bass with three groups: Fenibo (12 piece Afrobeat/funk) , The Band of Love (6 piece dance/wedding/party) and Jazzberry Jam (jazz/R&B). In addition, he plays a variety of instruments in the educational program with Steve Leicach, African Rhythms & World Music.
