Welcome to the website of multi-instrumentalist and educator Jay Cook. Based in Brattleboro, Vermont, Jay has performed in a number of different genres, from West African to jazz to funk to classical. Jay regularly plays with five groups: African Rhythms & World Music, Jazzberry Jam (jazz/R&B,) Mogoya (soul/motown/world) and Kasnitz & Cook(pop/rock) and The Rockets (pop/rock.) Jay also teaches music at the Hilltop Montessori School, and leads workshops in percussion ensemble music and improvisation.
